asks first.

Does mom need to know how to use a phone or an app?

No. Vita is entirely voice-based, in natural Spanish. If your mom can answer the phone, she can use Vita. We include a free video call with you to help set it up step by step. Many moms hesitate at first — but by day 4 or 5, they're waiting for Vita every morning.

Does it work in any country?

Yes. Vita serves transnational families: parents in Latin America with children in the United States or Europe. Today we have active families in Colombia, Mexico, Venezuela, Peru, and Argentina, with caregivers in Miami, Madrid, Dallas, London, Toronto, and more. You pay in dollars or euros from wherever you are; your mom uses Vita in her country, in her language, with us adapted to her local culture.

What does Vita hear from what mom shares?

Mom's privacy is sacred. What she confides in Vita — her sorrows, her fears, her intimate memories — never appears on your dashboard as literal text. You see aggregated trends: how she's feeling overall, whether her mood has shifted this week, if there's something you might want to ask her about. If Vita detects an explicit emergency — falls, severe pain, or mention of self-harm — you get an immediate alert with the necessary context. She decides what to share. We respect that line.

What's the process to join?

We're currently personally accompanying our first 50 founding families. When we open the next group — in July 2026 — families on our waitlist will be the first to know. When your turn comes, we'll write to you directly (Carlos, Laura, or Valerie) to get to know you before activating the account. It's not a mass form. It's a conversation.

Does Vita replace a nurse?

No. Vita complements, it doesn't replace. If your mom needs physical care — administered medication, mobility support, in-person companionship — Vita works alongside the nurse: coordinates shifts, receives reports, keeps context so everyone stays informed. What happens when mom is no longer here?

This is the hardest question, and the one we care most about answering well. The Book of Life — her stories, her memories, in her own words — belongs to the family forever. We never delete it. When she's no longer here, we deliver a complete copy in PDF and the physical bound book. If you want to keep accessing the Book online to share with your children or grandchildren, we maintain it free, with no time limit. Your mom's story doesn't belong to us. It's yours, and those who come after.
